Evaluation of HSDPA and LTE: from Testbed Measurements to System Level Performance shows the experimental results in evaluating the physical layer of cellular networks.  In addition, the authors present performance evaluations based on simulations, demonstrating how system level simulation can be performed with moderate complexity. Moreover, the book demonstrates the ways in which quality can be improved in order to offer the same accuracy for high complex link level simulations, including system level simulations. Furthermore, the authors consider how such complex simulation engines deliver results that are comparable with measurements thus reflecting the true physical behavior of wireless systems.
